Alphonso mangoes, also known as ‘The King of Indian Mangoes’ is famous for its sweet vivid flavor, luscious pulp and the deep color of the fruit. Hence it is also considered as one of the finest exportable variety of mangoes.Locally it is known as Hapoos in India and majorly grown in the Konkan region of Maharashtra state in India. The coastline and the reddish soil of the Konkan region gives the Alphonso its exceptional aroma and taste.

Full of nutrients, this distinctively flavored, expensive fruit is rich in fiber and minerals, high in beta-carotene, an antecedent of vitamin A, C and is a rich source of the vitamin B complex. In addition, this luscious fruit is a storehouse of potassium and antioxidants.
