GarciniaIndica is also widely known as ‘Kokum’ in India. It is a small deep purple to black color sticky fruit. It has curly edges and the natural exterior cover of the fruit is dried and used as a spice. It gives apiquant flavor as it contains garcinol, citric acid and hydroxy acetic acid.
